The owner of Larchmont Physical Therapy. Kathy is also active in the "professional community" as a continuing education course instructor and a member of the APTA, California Private Practice Special Interest Group and the Larchmont Boulevard Association. An avid golfer with an (8) handicap, she wasn the fitness consultant to the Wilshire Country Club from 1998 to 2008. She earned her certification with the USGFA as a golf-specific fitness trainer in July 2001.
Jeanna-Marie received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California in 2003. She has completed a 12-month manual therapy course to advance her orthopedic skills. Jeanna-Marie is certified by the ABPTS as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). Her undergraduate studies were in Athletic Training from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She holds credentials as a certified athletic trainer (ATC) and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). Jeanna-Marie has experience with providing medical coverage for high school and college sports, including football and a variety of sporting events including the Boston Marathon and the National Olympic Gymnastics Tournament. She continues to advance her skills by attending several continuing education courses each year, such as Back Education Training, Kinesio Taping, Gait for Pain Relief, PNF, functional orthopedics, Integrative Training for the millennium and mulligan manual therapy. Her emphasis is on functional and sports-specific training integrating both trunk stabilization and manual therapy techniques for patients with pain, injuries, or post surgical rehabilitation. Jeanna-Marie is the clinical center coordinator of education for physical therapy students at the clinic as well as the senior physical therapist. She is a member of the APTA, NATA, and NSCA. She enjoys coaching volleyball, and playing basketball, swimming, kayaking, snorkeling, hiking and traveling.
Elizabeth received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Southern California. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and a minor in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. Elizabeth is a current member of the American Physical Therapy Association. While in graduate school she worked as a camp counselor for "Camp No Limits" for children with prosthetic limbs to help them play sports and engage in camp activities. Elizabeth has worked with a wide variety of patients from sports injuries to chronic low back pain. Her current interests are track and field events, basketball, football and body sculpting.
Birgitta is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant and fitness trainer. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner, and is studying for Strength and Conditioning Certification. She has over ten years of experience in athletic and fitness training, focusing on sports rehabilitation, family workouts and post-pregnancy. Birgitta is broadening her experience through continuing education and as a therapeutic exercise lab instructor, and has designed videos for back stabilization programs. She enjoys a variety of indoor and outdoor sports and completed the 1999 and 2000 AIDS Rides. Birgitta plays professional football - playing four years for the Long Beach Aftershock - and will continue playing for the California Quake. Currently, she is coaching youth football Sports background includes water polo, swimming, tennis, weight lifting and golf. |
